LC-Tec Technology Integrated in New Nexus G1 Cinema Camera

Borlänge – LC-Tec announces that its advanced liquid-crystal filter technology is integrated in the Nexus G1 cinema camera, now operational with first test footage released and scheduled for release in Q1 2026. The Nexus G1 combines a modular cinema-grade body with professional imaging capabilities and built-in electronically controlled ND filtering.

The inclusion of LC-Tec’s electronic neutral density (eND) filter system directly inside the Nexus G1 gives filmmakers precise, continuously variable control over exposure without the need for external filters, streamlining workflow and reducing rig complexity.

The Nexus G1, designed around a Blackmagic Design 6K Super 35 imaging system in a rugged modular body, represents a forward step in integrating professional-level optics and usability. LC-Tec’s filter technology contributes to the camera’s ability to handle dynamic lighting conditions while maintaining control over aperture and motion settings.

LC-Tec’s role in the Nexus G1 underscores its position as a technology partner in next-generation imaging systems and expands the use of its optical innovation into fully integrated camera solutions.
