ECSŌ Anchoring
Ecsibeo has developed
alignment layers that are affected by the electric field in such a way
that the anchoring of the liquid crystal (LC) molecules can be
controlled. The alignment layers have dual functions as
they:
1. Can be mechanically rubbed
and thus provides the initial field-off alignment to the LC molecules
2. Have mesogenic units which
respond to electric field and can affect the anchoring energy of the LC
and thus promote its switching characteristics Ecsibeo has developed
HiPAL™ alignment materials for the VA (vertical alignment), IPS
(in-plane switching), PA (planar alignment)/TN
modes.
ECSŌ PA
-
Initial planar
alignment
-
Ecsibeo alignment material
contains mesogenic groups that are selected in such a way that they
respond to electric field applied between the electrodes and promote
fast rise or fall response time of LC molecules.
-
Ecsibeo alignment materials
enable reduced response time and driving
voltage.
